DRAFT: Run For Your Life

Track star Wilma Rudolph won three gold medals in the 1960 Olympics, but to get there she had to overcome enormous hurdles. Stricken with polio at the age of four, she lost the use of her left leg and had to learn to walk again when she was seven.

Running the race of life is often filled with difficult hurdles that must be conquered. The obstacles of fear, pain, loss of a job, illness, heartbreak; the list goes on and on. So what does it take to conquer these obstacles? The best approach is to study God's Word and ask in prayer for Him to carry you through. While some might want to give up, the truth is the victory can be found through God's amazing grace and encouragement. We see this in the Bible scripture Acts 20:24 - However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

The next time you are faced with an obstacle that seems impossible, stop yourself and ask, "Have I given this over to God?" You can change the outcome of your life by taking a moment today to surrender your heartache to your Creator.
