Occasionally we get sidetracked into thinking about the awesome and amazing things in our Universe and compare how small and minuscule we seem to be, however we do at some point have a part in making our own reality by our decisions and actions.

Yes, it is true that relative to our entire experience our contribution individually is much smaller than the contributions of our environment, the conglomeration of the greater multifaceted existence, and of course the influence of the many around us, nevertheless working together humankind? has created great things which took significant input from each individual.

Sure there are amazing things which are indeed stunning and phenomenal which we cannot yet explain yet their existence dictates at least in our minds that they must have had a beginning -their time of creation, therefore we could attribute their reality to a greater being or force capable of miraculous acts.

If we consider the miracles of our own functional characteristics in comparison to the Universe, though we be small, we are awesome.  In fact which Planet can make decisions on its own or move out of its orbit to manage or create other things.  Man is made in the image of God and when we consider our abilities in comparison to all else, how can we make light of who we are?

Further, we should not burden ourselves with learning too much too fast because we will never know it all and as the old axiom goes "we must learn to stop and smell the roses".

And what are the more important things anyway?  In the teachings of the Bible we find that everything taught is intertwined in relationships, that is, our relationships with God and with one another.  In fact, our treatment of one another is of utmost importance no matter how much we learn. Consider mankind's extensive knowledge, yet persons are killing each other every day and the others who watch seem to be helpless to stop it.

Wouldn't it be a miracle if the aspect of John Lennon’s song, “Imagine”,  could be realized, which by the way is also the greater aspiration of the Church body in Christ as being one.  A place where the actions of the many work for the good of the whole which in turn is making sure that each one is functioning in his or her discovered position and finding happiness as well as solace. One might think less of political socialism and discover cooperation from the ants.  (Proverb 30:25)

Praise God, we have the word of God, the Holy Bible to give us some, even perhaps absolute, direction for our thoughts, our actions, our relationships, and our lives as a whole.

Please don’t think of my words as those of some latent Baptist preacher.  I am as subject to temptation and failure as any one of us.  I may understand in concept but I still observe from a distance feeling alone and detached at times.  But all in all I can still realize my shortcomings while choosing to revere who we are and those things which I believe are of unfathomable value.

So, what do you think? Could a closer examination and proper perspective of the creations in this universe compared to our own ingenious human creation point out that we are not so insignificant at all.  And can you be convinced that though we be small, we are more than fantastic, we are conquerors in this unending and expanding Universe.

In closing,  here are some things to lighten your day:

The Five Levels of Communication:

  1. Talks with God
  2. Talks with Angels
  3. Talks to himself
  4. Argues with himself
  5. Loses those arguments.

Ro 8:3-39  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?   He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?   Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifies.  Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
